We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Fellow to join our team of Senior Medical Officers at Tauranga Emergency Department, commencing January 2024 through to January 2025.

Our ED specialist team has grown rapidly over the past 5 years and we are committed to the pursuit of excellent regional emergency medicine care within New Zealand.
Our department is accredited for 12 months ACEM advanced training and has a strong focus on education and development of the emergency medicine workforce. We have an active in-situ simulation programme both in ED and across the hospital coordinated by our ED simulation education team.
The ED fellow will be responsible for the departmental education and simulation portfolio supported by the SMO team and will have 25% nonclinical time for these projects. The Fellow will participate in the SMO roster – further information can be found in the full job description.
Tauranga Hospital is a 330-bed regional hospital servicing a growing population of over 180,000. This includes both a rural community in the Western Bay of Plenty and the urban population of New Zealand’s 5th largest city. The emergency department sees a diverse case mix with 55,000 presentations per annum of which 25% is paediatric.
Applicants should possess full MCNZ vocational registration and have completed the written component of their ACEM fellowship exams and be within their final year of training
