Our client is a leading civil contractor dedicated to delivering high-quality projects across various sectors. With a commitment to excellence and innovation, we are seeking an experienced and dynamic Estimating Manager to join their team and play a key role in shaping their success.
As the Estimating Manager you will be responsible for managing the estimating, tendering, and pricing functions with a focus on producing competitive and successful offers. Reporting to the General Manager, you will lead a team and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the smooth execution of tendering processes and contribute to the overall success of our projects.



Key Responsibilities: Bid Management: Act as bid manager for all allocated tenders. Produce winning tenders supported by a competent methodology and attributes. Maintain relationships with suppliers for obtaining the best supply prices. Monitor industry sources and plan for preferred sources of work. Tendering: Lead the full management of allocated tenders and quotations. Establish and maintain a risk register for each project. Utilize company operations staff for methodology, performance assumptions, and contractual interpretations. Prepare and finalize attributes for submission, including project risk, offer methodologies, and quantitative proposals. Relationship Management: Participate in the company contact and relationship program with a focus on clients, potential clients, suppliers, and subcontractors. Other Responsibilities: Maintain a database of bids won and bids lost. Keep records of all documents related to each offer, including tender documentation, acceptance/decline notices, and formal contracts. Develop and maintain a preferred supplier list. Contribute actively to the company culture of producing winning tenders. Deliver into the company Quality Management System and update processes as required. Produce quantitative monthly/YTD reports on tendering results. Contribute to regular review sessions on internal charge rates for labor and plant. Qualifications and Experience: Qualifications in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or similar. Proven experience in bid management and tendering within the construction industry. Strong leadership and communication skills. Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices. Proficiency in project management and estimating software.
