Executive Assistant/Office Administrator PA, EA & Secretarial (Administration & Office Support) Enriching the cultural life of AotearoaFor 21 years New Zealand Opera has presented world-class main scale opera, touring productions, festival productions, concerts and other events to audiences of more than 730,000. We have developed many new opera artists and constantly bring back New Zealand singers who are now working at the highest levels on a global stage. We also continue to pioneer extensive participation programmes for school children, young people and adults that have resulted in over 100,000 people engaging with opera in educational and meaningful ways. Now is an exciting time for us, as we lead opera in Aotearoa in a way that reimagines the art form, embraces the cultural and social identities of our diverse communities and ensures a vibrant and sustainable presence for New Zealand Opera. About the roleReporting to the General Director, and supporting the Senior Leadership Team, this role requires a high level of EA support. Responsibilities include booking travel arrangements, liaising with key stakeholders, managing meetings, taking minutes, and coordinating diaries. Due to the small nature of the company, you will also be our “go to” person for anything office related to help support the day to day running of the company. About you To be successful in this role, you are highly organised and motivated and are not afraid to speak up and use your initiative to problem solve and escalate issues. You would be described as professional, proactive, an excellent team player and someone who brings a positive energy and enthusiasm to a team. Your previous managers speak highly of your work ethic and ability to manage your time effectively. What you’ll bring to the role:A minimum of 3 years Executive or Personal Assistant experience. Digitally savvy with excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office and using a CRMProfessional and confident when liaising and communicating with VIPsThe ability to remain cool, calm and collected when things get busyA “finisher”, you can juggle multiple tasks and complete themInitiative, you get “stuck in” and lend a hand where neededHighly organised with the ability to prioritiseA basic understanding and acknowledgement of the importance of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, Te Ao Māori and te reo Māori is a welcome advantage.Based in Parnell, Auckland this is a great opportunity to join a small, passionate and collaborative team who value creativity and honour the arts and artists of our diverse communities.If you are a team player with a can-do attitude, we’d love to hear from you.
