The Opportunity We are looking for a highly motivated leader that has been working in the legal or broking industry with extensive experience in the mergers and acquisition process. Working as part of a high-performing team, you will be engaging at a senior level with clients, both private equity firms and corporate businesses. You’ll be committed to providing the highest level of service and professionalism in this varied role, which will find you managing significant M&A projects, reading and checking sale and purchase agreements, negotiating policy terms, and producing reports. In return, you will be mentored by other senior leaders in Asia Pacific, the US and UK who lead similar businesses and who will ensure you transition successfully into Aon and the insurance industry. The M&A Transactional Liability team pride themselves on being market-leaders, committed to providing a gold-class standard of service to its clients, and you will be utilising your experience and knowledge to lead and set the strategic direction of the division. You will be responsible for:Leading clients through the process of transferring their transactional liability risk, managing relationships up to C-suite executivesPro-actively establishing new relationships to develop income opportunitiesIdentifying and bringing on-line new projects within the current client portfolioBuilding/ maintaining a network of relationships within the insurance marketLiaising with underwriters and internal stakeholder to deliver optimised go-to-market strategiesDrafting, proof-reading and producing high quality reportsProviding leadership and guidance to other members of the team To be successful, you will demonstrate:Outstanding client management capabilities, which includes attracting, retaining and growing clientsA keen entrepreneurial spirit and flare for business developmentA law degree and legal background with a substantial focus on M&AExperience with corporate taxation would be highly valued but is not requiredAnalytical abilities and experience drafting proposals and documentationHighly self-motivated with the ability to take ownership and accountability for development and execution of projects and relationshipsThe capability and experience to provide leadership across the team’s technical, relationship management and business development skill-sets About Us: We’re a team of authentic and smart individuals passionate about providing outstanding value to our clients and our local communities.
