Our client is well established and has significant resources invested in its operations, but with a new strategy to reinvent its current operations, which sees it well positioned to capitalise on future growth opportunities.
The Finance Manager will work as part of a small and cohesive team, taking direct responsibility for overseeing the core aspects of the accounting at a transactional processing level, while then working with the management team to support their information needs and deliver a full range of business performance analysis & reporting. The role will ideally be part time involving up to 25 hours per week.
Other important components will include driving business profitability through the business planning, forecasting and project analysis. Moving forward the business is looking to develop their business systems for enhanced utilisation of internal data, so the opportunity is there to automate processes and further develop reporting tools, like Power BI.
We view this position as an ideal opportunity for candidates who have established themselves in either chartered accounting and or commercial sector accounting roles, but want a role where they can get more involved at the operations level and so take that next step.
Relevant CA accounting qualifications are important, but equally you will need to demonstrate proven experience in the areas of financial accounting, business analysis, reporting and general financial administration. This technical competence needs to be balanced against personal qualities that should include a strong focus on quality and a positive can do approach that will provide a pathway to developing the role further.
