The opportunities (Karioi Pulpmill and Tangiwai Sawmill, Ohakune, Central North Island)
We have multiple opportunities available for suitably qualified and experienced people to join our Engineering team at the Karioi Pulpmill site, a Major Hazard Facility and our Mechanical Maintenance team at the Tangiwai Sawmill. These are permanent, fulltime positions. Karioi Pulpmill and Tangiwai Sawmill are both located close to the small yet well facilitated towns of Ohakune and Taihape
About you
All candidate requirements include;
§Trade certificate in Fitting and Turning Level 4, Maintenance and Diagnostics or similar is preferred.
§Demonstrated technical ability;
o maintenance experience of heavy machinery and plant.
oA working knowledge of hydraulics systems, and an ability to understand schematic drawings would be advantageous.
§Hold a Full Class One New Zealand driver’s license and hold or be able to obtain a Forklift endorsement.
§Demonstrated awareness of, and utilisation of workplace Health and Safety systems.
§Physically fit, able and mentally alert, including the ability to work in confined spaces.
§Availability for mechanical callouts, participation in the on-call roster and to work overtime.
