He Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the Role
An opportunity has become available to appoint a permanent General Practice Liaison (GPL) within Te Whatu Ora - Bay of Plenty based in the Western Bay of Plenty.
This position provides a link between Te Whatu Ora provided services and general practices and works alongside the Service Improvement Unit which is part of a wider evolving Quality Improvement Network. The General Practice Liaison will join two other GPLs, one based in Tauranga and one based in Whakatāne.
The successful candidate will be a practicing General Practice Clinician working in the Western Bay of Plenty. You will possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail and may have experience in quality improvement.
The position will be a three tenths position, of which around two tenths will be spent on Health Pathways work.
If the successful candidate is vocationally registered with a medical college, they will be employed under the Senior Medical Officers MECA. The length of time vocationally registered will determine the step on the MECA pay scale.
