As a GIS Analyst you will provide GIS expertise to teams within the Science Group based in the Dunedin office and provide GIS leadership through application of best-practice in GIS project planning, data capture, modelling, map production/cartography and data delivery. You will be involved in drillhole database maintenance, 3D modelling and provide technical geological support to the Dunedin office, including geochronological sample preparation and field assistance.ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a person with a strong geological and GIS background to be part of the Geospatial Data and Analysis Team who can apply their GIS skills across a range of research areas and assist our scientists to deliver high quality data and maps. The position offers a range of project work and requires someone who can apply their GIS and coding skills to analyse data, automate data processing and produce high-quality maps and datasets.
