Our GIS team are key to providing results to our clients, collaborating with consultants with a variety of expertise to successfully deliver a diverse range of work.The purpose of the Senior GIS Analyst is to provide quality geospatial services and consultancy advice in support of business development opportunities and innovative delivery for our projects undertaken by the team throughout New Zealand. The focus of the role is on:Creating, analysing and converting data to produce bespoke web-based GIS solutions, generate maps and work with complex datasets to transform them into high-quality outputsSupporting users and customers through excellent service delivery to meet their needs and facilitate the generation of value using GISProactively identifying new business opportunities through GIS led services, alongside adding value by identifying spatial support and opportunities on existing projects.We are interested in hearing from people with a background in GIS and an interest in working in a consultancy environment. We are looking for:Minimum five years of experience in GIS, with a sound understanding of using ArcGIS Online to develop web applications and ArcGIS Pro for desktop workflowsStrong client focus with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships internally and externallyRelevant work experience and demonstrated expertise with Esri ArcGIS software suiteExperience with GIS in the property sector (preferable)Strong desire for continuous learning and developmentExcellent attention to detail and strong verbal and written communication skillsConfident independent analysts who are also able to work with and contribute to a teamInnovative problem solver with a positive, patient attitudeTop-notch communicator who can write and present ideas clearly and confidently, with a focus on quality and the ability to convey GIS solutions to a non-technical audienceExperience within a consultancy, with the ability to work within project budgets and deadlines and have comfort in completing timesheetsGIS Project management experience will be beneficialPassion for introducing GIS opportunities through all our consultancy workProactive in finding opportunities and business development for GIS to add value in our property work.A typical day could include identifying optimal site locations using spatial and network analysis, to creating bespoke geospatial web-based solutions for clients to manage large infrastructure projects.Ideally this role will be based in our Hamilton or Wellington office, but we will also consider exceptional candidates working from another one of our offices. Candidates will be travelling occasionally to our other offices as required.
