Head of Financial Institutions, Public Sector & Health – Institutional BankPermanent Full-time roleRole can be based in Auckland or WellingtonMō te tūranga | About the roleReporting to the Head of Institutional, this key role has the primary responsibility for setting the strategy whilst leading a high performing team of Relationship Managers; developing long-term successful and sustainable sector strategies for a portfolio of existing and target customers focused predominately in the Financial Institution, Public Sector & Health sectors.This role is critical to the Institutional Bank at Westpac and includes some of our most important Government and our largest Financial Institutions relationships. The strategic focus includes analysis through the complete vertical of the Institutional and Business Bank of Westpac. As the key banking provider to the Government, the ability to understand Government policy and possible current and future impacts of banking to both policy and future global trends is essential.The role involves some travel with customers spread throughout New Zealand and while the role can be based in either Auckland or Wellington a commitment to Government relations is critical. The clients are large, multi-banked with a bias towards financial markets, transactional banking and structured debt products.
