Healthy Salary Package: At $120k to $150k + a Profit Share Bonus you will be well remunerated.
WFH 2 days per week: The company have a 2 day per week WFH policy so you can mix up where you work a bit if you wish.

Your Team: You will lead two full time structural engineers, one senior and one intermediate. There is also one contract Structural Engineer who is very much part time a few days a week as and when he is needed.
As the team is small, team lead experience is a ‘nice to have’ here. Simply demonstrating an aptitude and desire to lead a small team is all that is needed. So, this could be your chance to gain this team lead experience or step sideways into it.
The team you will lead are not difficult people either. The senior engineer is very self-motivated, all he needs is guidance to make sure is working on the right things. The Junior/Intermediate Structural Engineer I placed and am told he is a very polite and capable engineer, degree and masters qualified, so it is just providing him some guidance.
Your Role
The Expert: To set the scene, you will be the expert, the head of structural engineering and design for the company. You will be the one that everyone in the business come to for technical engineering direction.
Broad and varied role: This is going to be a very broad role so you won’t get bored.
Three Key Facets to your role
1 Design Service: The first and most important part of your job will be making sure the companies design service is being fulfilled. That might mean that if its busy, you will jump in and do some of it yourself.
2 Client Relationships: Your key clients will be structural engineering consultancies and Architects. So, you will engage and visit key customers. That could look like simply picking up the phone, and once a month having a cup of coffee or lunch with one of the key design consultancies. So, you will need to be happy in a client facing role, representing the company along with their Sales Manager, and their GM.
3 Strategic Planning: You will have the freedom to help shape the direction of the business and will help to define and work on the company strategic plan. This currently involves a digitisation and software development project – something that is likely a bit different from the norm. With this you will provide guidance, your technical engineering knowledge, and what you have gleaned from clients about what they want so that the end results are well aligned.
Experience Needed
• Chartered Professional Engineer specialised in Structural Engineering (CPEng)
• 7 years’ + experience as a Structural Engineer designing Portal framed, Multistorey and High-rise buildings.
• Team Lead Experience OR Aptitude
• Software: using SAP2000 OR ETABS for modelling, design, and analysis of buildings
