Land Information New Zealand (LINZ) is a diverse government agency that impacts most New Zealanders. We have an opening for a motivated & talented Learning and Development Advisor to work with our Property Rights team to build, design and facilitate a variety of capability building and upskilling training programs.

 

This position will give you the freedom and autonomy to fully utilise the learning and development experience you have built up across our 3 national sites. You’ll have the opportunity to see a tangible impact on our business from the training programs that you develop.

 

Combining your well-developed experience in conducting needs analysis and program development with your passion for customer experience and the growth of individuals, you’ll be positioned as the facilitator of the training programs you develop. You’ll have the opportunity to travel and interact directly with your customers (our friendly Property Rights teams!) while you oversee the implementation of your learning development strategies. You’ll also have the chance to work with our professional and experienced team to co-design learning solutions that are truly blended, with e-learning, coaching and supported on the job experiences.  

 

Some more about you

 

  • Experienced understanding of Adult Learning Principles and up to date knowledge of best practice, trends and innovations within Learning and Development
  • Skill in applying continuous improvement initiatives to work activities and taking a proactive approach to owning and implementing improvements
  • The ability to leverage available technology (including e-learning and LMS functionality) to meet internal customer requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in translating technical information into easily understood contextual learning through written, facilitated, audio or video channels
  • Intellectual agility to identify activities that do/do not support our Learning and Development principles. Demonstrate the flexibility to respond and change direction when required
