Your typicalday will be spent providing antenatal and postnatal care to the wāhine of theBuller region and you will be present at homebirths or births in our primarybirthing unit at Kawatiri, Buller Hospital and the facilities when the newBuller Hospital and Health Centre is built. Also you will be required to travel to TeNikau to support women choosing to birth in Greymouth.
Outside ofwork, you will have access to some of the Aotearoa’s best kept scenic secrets,with the Buller especially popular for tramping, rafting, canoeing and manyother outdoor pursuits. As well as low cost housing, daily flights fromWestport to Wellington and Queenstown.
Although youwill be based in the community, you will be provided with access to education,training and support from the team at Te Nikau and collegially supported byyour central and southern colleagues providing LMC care.
