Ngā Pātaka Kōrero o Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland Libraries) have a strong community focus and we are an extraordinary destination for the people of Auckland. Our Network Library & Council Service Assistants play a vital part in our library team by providing coverage to a range of libraries across North/West local boards. You will be working within a library whānau that has a team culture strong in te reo and tikanga Māori, a place where everyone can feel they belong.
No two days are the same, you will greet and assist customers with a variety of queries from assisting customers to access library & council services, supporting with the delivery of programmes and events, digital troubleshooting, Wi-Fi, and general computer queries.
We are looking for a service assistant to work for the Rodney North board and Hibiscus and Bays North Boards (Libraries include Wellsford, Warkworth, Mahurangi East, Orewa and Whangaparaoa)
To ensure our libraries are supported across all opening hours and days we will need you to work a minimum of two weekend days per fortnight and be available for shifts across all opening hours (including late nights). Our Network Library & Council Service Assistants work at all sites within their contracted local boards, so you will need to be able to reach all sites within your area.

• Thrive on providing an amazing level of customer service
• An outstanding communicator who is able to build and

• A quick learner who would be able to assist people with technology queries
• Love working with tamariki and can assist with programmes
• Enjoy day-to-day frontline library service and the opportunity
to connect directly with our library patrons.
• Is flexible around working days and hours with availability on
weekends and some late nights required

These are part-time positions working a minimum of 32 hours per fortnight, with the option to pick up additional shifts as they become available. We offer a role that has variety and flexibility.
