The Auckland City Hospital Radiation Oncology Department is the largest single site department in Australasia. We have a modern and busy department with nearly new patients per year. Techniques
used within the department are in line with worldwide developments –SBRT for lung patients, Deep Inhalation Breath Hold for breast patients, VMAT and IMRT.
The ‘Graduate Staff Radiation Therapist’ role provides an exciting opportunity for newly qualified radiation therapists to gain clinical experience in treatment and pre-treatment work areas at Auckland City Hospital. You will be a new graduate Radiation therapists [qualifying in NZ] who has passed year 3 bachelor of health Science degree [Endorsed in Radiation Therapy] and obtained MRTB registration with a full scope of practice and APC in November .
To support this role we offer full orientation and excellent clinical support. A strong commitment to professional development and in-service education programs to support high standards of Radiation Therapy practice is a real plus within this service.
The role is a fixed term 1 year contract during which time credentialing for a variety of clinical procedures can occur.
