They provide extensive allied health services and deliver healthcare to the Waikato region, serving over 400,000 residents and providing tertiary-level services to the broader midland region, encompassing more than 840,000 people.To know more, watch this video:Your role Waikato District Health Board are looking for an Occupational Therapist | Kaiwhakaora Ngangahau to join our team based at Thames Hospital on a fixed-term contract covering parental leave.You'll be working as part of a passionate Occupational Therapy Team, dedicated to providing a high-quality service to Thames Inpatient Ward. Your role as part of the team, is to provide quality assessment and deliver safe and clinically effective interventions to support our patients. You'll have the opportunity to assess and treat a wide range of conditions with surgical, orthopaedic, medical, and neurological needs as well as manage a caseload of rehab patients, including stroke rehab. In this role, you will be collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and working alongside Physiotherapists, Social Work, and Allied Health Assistants.Expected OutcomesProviding consistent, good-quality occupational therapy.
