About the role

Applications are sought for the position of Offline Roll Turner in our busy Rolling Mill. This position reports to the Offline Team Leader and is based in Otahuhu. The successful candidate will be required to work a eight hour shift pattern across days and afternoons on a one week rotation.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Ensuring mill rolls and carbide rings are machined and reformatted in a timely manner to meet the demands of the production schedule.
  • About the person

  •  Trades Certificate
  •  Machining experience preferably on lathes and grinders
  •  CNC experience beneficial but not mandatory
  •  The capacity to plan and organise.
  •  Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  •  Good decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  •  The ability to work unsupervised
  •  An uncompromising attitude to safety.
  •  Ability to learn and follow production process and requirements
