Dunedin Hospital has 9 Operating Theatres, each one with a designated Clinical Nurse Coordinator to provide leadership and promote flow and coordination for a cluster of surgical specialties. Mo te turanga | About the role Champion and promote Quality Improvement Initiatives within the Perioperative Department, Provide specialist nursing care and expertise both in direct care delivery, and the mentoring of staff. Collaborate across the perioperative team acting in the roles of clinician, educator, consultant, researcher, and leader/change agent in the pursuit of clinical excellence and improved health outcomes. Establish and promote clinical nursing professional standards Coordinate and implement best practice principles, Develop and sustain constructive relationships that enhance your ability to influence, Model a partnership approach with all stakeholders Ensure effective day to day management and coordination across shifts in the operating theatre.
