The Te Whatu Ora's Community Dental Serviceprovides dental services to nearly 100,000 children aged 0-13 in Canterbury andSouth Canterbury and supports our colleagues on the West Coast. There are 110front-line clinical staff who work with modern equipment in 22 mobile dentalunits and 13 dental clinics.
We currently have permanent opportunities workingat our Ashburton, Timaru, Rangiora or Christchurch clinics! If appointed to work in South Canterbury youcan apply for the Te Whatu Ora Voluntary Bonding Scheme and be eligible for anafter tax payment of $11,796 after your first three years with further paymentsin years 4 and 5. You’ll be working in community and school settingswith children and their families/whānau and have the opportunity to work withdiverse patient groups, managing a wide variety of oral health problems. You willbe a reflective practitioner who embraces innovation and advances in clinicalpractice and will enjoy working in a team alongside other skilled dental/oralhealth therapists and assistants. You will be fully supported during yourinduction with a mentor assigned to support you to develop and establish yourpractice.
