I'm looking for an experienced Procurement specialist to play a pivotal role in nurturing a portfolio of dynamic providers/suppliers.- Work closely with the Maori Health Partnerships team- End-to-end responsibility for strategic sourcing of Corporate Services- Two-year fixed-term contract based in Wellington, New Zealand
Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Portfolio Manager to join their team. This role offers the unique opportunity to work closely with the Maori Health Partnerships team, supporting the delivery of Maori health initiatives. The successful candidate will have the chance to collaborate with iwi and community-based kaupapa Maori providers, designing and delivering kaupapa Maori solutions. This is a two-year fixed-term contract based in Wellington, New Zealand.
What you'll do:
As a Portfolio Manager, you will play a pivotal role in building strong relationships with our providers, managing provider performance, service delivery, and taking end-to-end responsibility for strategic sourcing of Corporate Services. You will work closely with various teams across the organisation, supporting them to deal with a range of different supplier and commercial-related needs. Your deep understanding of market capability combined with your knowledge of the business needs will enable you to develop strategies that satisfy those differing needs. You will then implement and monitor these strategies along with related procurement initiatives.
Report directly to the Head of Procurement, providing support to Senior Portfolio Managers in Corporate Procurement
Develop and deliver prioritised procurement activities, ensuring work is well planned and delivered on time
Design and deliver kaupapa Maori solutions in collaboration with iwi and community-based kaupapa Maori providers
Establish strong relationships with suppliers to harness their expertise and resources
What you bring: The ideal candidate for this Portfolio Manager position will bring a wealth of experience in procurement processes, particularly those that honour Te Tiriti o Waitangi. You will have a good understanding of NZGPR, enabling you to support innovative procurement solutions aligned with the organisation's strategy. Your ability to innovate and connect with social sector commissioning approaches will be crucial in this role. Experience in tikanga and matauranga Maori would be a significant advantage. Your strong strategic planning skills and excellent interpersonal skills will ensure your success in this role.
Good understanding and application of NZGPR to support innovative procurement solutions
In-depth knowledge of procurement processes that honour Te Tiriti o Waitangi
Ability to innovate and connect with social sector commissioning approaches
Experience in tikanga and matauranga Maori would be an advantage
Strong strategic planning skills to align procurement's with organisational strategy
