First emerging in Australia in 1938, Mirotone's New Zealand arm has been servicing local and overseas markets for over six decades.Our Chief Chemist is looking to make a leap in a different direction, we need to bring a new team member aboard to assist with the transition, and to provide support for our two production Chemists.Our site operates a dedicated quality control and research driven lab where 3 chemists take care of all production testing, and new product development. And there can be a lot of both going on sometimes. We are looking for someone to join the team, learn from the incumbent QC chemist, allowing him to assist the R&D Chemist, and then make the QC role their own.This is not a technician's role with extra responsibilities, this is a chemist's role with ownership, responsibilities and an environment that could shape your future for years to come. With that in mind, we would like to hear from applicants who possess the following:A minimum of 2 - 5 years' experience in a quality role where you performed hands on testing.Have a relevant tertiary qualification, such as a Bachelor of Science.Be well organised, methodical, and able to meet tight deadlines in a busy environment.Excellent communication skills and are comfortable communicating at all levels of the business.A high level of competency in written English with the ability to write SOP's and reports.Sound negotiation skills with the ability to manage issues as necessary.Excellent command of Microsoft Office, including Excel.The behaviour and understanding of a H&S role model.I know, I know, it sounds just like any other role on any other job site, but please, read on.If you present well and are a fit for our lab and factory teams, then some of the above list becomes less crucial.
