Supporting the Practice to
Manage the Reception Team. Actively supportreception/administrative staff with personal and professional development
Provide support to the Practice Manager whererequired.
Coordinate the schedule for regular meetings andmaintain accurate minutes, attend internal and external meetings and whererequired to represent the Practice.
Main duties of the job

Attending various internal/externalmeetings and to represent the Practice when required to support the PracticeManager
Putting up clinical rotas andmanaging reception rotas.
Provide support to PracticeManager & GP Partners as required and become an integral part of the managementteam
Managing reception and beingpoint of call for all reception queries.
Supervising/ Working onreception carrying out reception duties as follows -Phones, beingpatient facing, Tasks, Docman Workflow, Email accounts, Prescriptions, Footfall& Referrals.
Supporting the PM withrecruitment of and training new reception staff on all reception duties.
Induction and training of new receptionstaff
Supporting the PM withinduction of salaried and locum clinical staff where needed.
Managing GP/ Locum and ARRSAnnual Leave
Supporting and havingknowledge to help on admin tasks such as Workflow/ Read coding, MedicalReports, Secretarial work.
Setting new staff up on EMISand other relevant practice systems.
Advertising/ obtaining locumstaff to fill available sessions the practice may need.
Manage EMIS appointmentslots/ mapping/ sessions.
Reallocating work asappropriate when staff both admin/ clinical are off.
Help coordinate QOF relatedactivities with the rest of the team

Principal duties and responsibilities
Administration
Provide a professional and courteous point of access for Eltham Palace Surgery for all staff, patients and any stakeholders
Monitor feedback for any complaints/compliments and assist in responding and actioning appropriately
Attending various internal/external meetings and to represent the Practice when required to support the Practice Manager
Managing reception Rota's.
Provide support to Practice Manager & GP Partners as required and become an integral part of the management team
Managing reception and being point of call for all reception queries.
Supervising/ Working on reception carrying out reception duties as follows -Phones, being patient facing, Tasks, Docman Workflow, Email accounts, Prescriptions, Footfall & Referrals.
Supporting the PM with recruitment of and training new reception staff on all reception duties.
Induction of new reception staff
Supporting the PM with induction of salaried and locum clinical staff where needed in the PM's absence
Supporting and having knowledge to help on admin tasks such as Workflow/ Read coding, Medical Reports, Secretarial work, deductions & Summarising patient notes.
Manage baby clinic bookings and coordinating this with the childs baby Immunisation appointments.
Setting new staff up on EMIS and other relevant practice systems in the PM's absence
Manage EMIS appointment slots/ mapping/ sessions in the PM's absence
Writing/ have input on appropriate administrative protocols where needed to support the PM and partners
Reallocating work as appropriate when staff both admin/ clinical are off in the PM's absense
Help coordinate QOF related activities with the rest of the team
