Opportunity to join a great team making a difference by recruiting the best staff for Ara Poutama Aotearoa to help keep New Zealand safe.

This role is part of our awesome centralised recruitment function that focusses on providing great candidate care in a high-volume, fast paced environment.      

About the role | Mō te tūnga

On any given day you could be:

  • Advertising vacancies
  • Processing a candidate’s eligibility for a role at Corrections
  • Booking candidates in for interviews or assessment centres
  • Liaising with applicants regarding the progress of their application
  • Managing and updating our on-line system
  • Responding to general enquiries from internal and external customers
  • Travelling to help facilitate assessment centres around the country
  • Completing pre-employment checking (drug testing, criminal conviction checking, reference checking)

About you | Mōu

Do you have?

  • Very good attention to detail
  • Strong prioritisation and time management skills
  • Proficiency in MS office, and the ability to quickly learn in-house packages
  • Initiative, flexibility and a ‘can do’ attitude
  • Experience providing efficient administration support, preferably within an HR or recruitment environment
  • The ability to establish credible relationships with candidates and hiring managers
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills

There is a requirement for some of our Recruitment Co-ordinators to travel to different Corrections sites on a regular basis, so you will need a full driver licence.
