This role has overall responsibility for sales and customer service in the Retail Sales Area (RSA) and management of a standalone P&L.
Responsible for the strategic vision of the RSA, which is achieved by coaching, leading by example, motivating and holding teams accountable to drive results.
Key accountabilities Ownership and delivery of the RSA profitability and EBITDA budgets through a focussed approach to increase revenue and control costs.Regional strategy and plan (up to 3yrs) based on ANZ strategy and market trendsInvolved in the budget setting process to include OPEX and agreed targets are met.Financial analysis – cost analysis, revenue generation and assessment of trends and strategyActive involvement in the approval of strategic business plans (e.g. store locations, business cases, BD strategy etc.), contract and lease negotiationDevelopment and implementation of strategic promotions and marketing plansInput into the margin management through influencing rate profiles and strategyInventory management including the control of stock at a regional level ensuring the right product is allocated and replenished into stores at the right time whilst adhering to set budgets.People management including recruitment, rostering overview, authorisation, learning & development and performance managementInternal and External stakeholder relationship management including regular formalised meetings with airport and shopping centre management.Ensure adherence to company and location policy and proceduresEnsure all Operational processes are adhered toAny other reasonable instructions as required by the businessKey interface/ relationships Internal stakeholders: All Retail staff, Head of Retail, Commercial Director, HR, Operations & Facilities, Compliance, Finance, Inventory, Pricing, MarketingExternal stakeholders: Customers, 3rd Party providers, Partners, Shopping Centre/Airport ManagementRole-specific experience and skills A strong record of performance improvement in their area of expertise, through increased sales, cost management or relevant performance measuresA sound understanding of:general retail business practicesfinancial services industryforeign exchange products and services and the operation of foreign exchange markets.Advanced financial and commercial analysis capabilitiesDemonstrated ability to lead by example, motivate, inspire and hold accountable a team of multi-site managersDemonstrated ability to inspire a sense of direction and purpose in othersDemonstrated experience in managing a geographically disperse employee base.Demonstrated external and internal relationship management expertise at an operational level.Excellent influencing, negotiating and communications skills and high levels of personal confidence and self-sufficiency.Exceptional change management skills.Ability to network external and internal– supplier/ alliance partner relationship initiation and maintenanceGeneral experience and personal qualities Tenacity, drive, the ability to operate and make key decisions effectively in a demanding environment, balancing risk with resultsProven ability to lead their area of expertise, focusing on results, proactively solving problems and supporting the business with solutionsStrong commercial acumen and ability to apply solid commercial judgment to lead in their area of expertiseExperience of leading change in a multi-site environmentThe ability to inspire teams to deliver in challenging circumstances, recognising the need to motivate and develop whilst maintaining pace and juggling prioritiesThe ability to build strong relationships, developing trust and credibility with customers, partners, peers, teams, internal and external stakeholdersSelf-aware, open-minded with a high degree of personal and professional integrityA passion for our business and what this role will bring to itA current driver's license is required along with full availability of a vehicleFounded in 1976, Travelex has grown to become one of the market leading specialist providers of foreign exchange products, solutions and services, operating across the entire value chain of the foreign exchange industry in more than 20 countries.
