Kōrero mō te tūranga – About the role
Older Persons Mental Health is predominantly a community based service. This position is for a Registered Nurse to join our community multidisciplinary team.
Mō tō mātou rōpū – About our team
We provide assessment, treatment and rehabilitation interventions for older adults experiencing recent onset functional mental ill health and/or behavioural and psychological symptoms secondary to degenerative neurocognitive conditions, primarily dementia. We also see older adults with complex clinical presentations where specialist assessment is indicated within our scope. We work closely with geriatric medicine and other mental health services across the district. You will be joining an experienced specialist team who are passionate about improving health outcomes and promoting the quality of life of clients referred to our service. You will be a team player and a valued member of the team.
Moū – About you
You will bring your experience as Registered Nurse working in mental health to this position. Experience in this area of speciality would be an advantage. You will be expected to undertake specialist assessment and formulation, develop comprehensive treatment and intervention plans in collaboration with the client, their whanau and other key stakeholders, promote a range of psychosocial interventions, provide case management and coordination of care.
