He Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the Role
We are seeking a Specialist Eating Disorder Clinician to join our vibrant multi-disciplinary eating disorder team based with our CAMHS Adolescent Service based in Tauranga, Bay of Plenty.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years’ experience working with children, adolescents, and their whānau alongside being up to date with the ANZAED practice and training standards for mental health professionals providing eating disorder treatment (Hurst et al., 2020).
If you are the successful applicant, you will bring teamwork and initiative to be part of a team committed to providing evidence-based treatment to young people experiencing an eating disorder, supported by fortnightly FBT supervision and alternating fortnightly case consultation with our New Zealand Eating Disorder Clinic (NZEDC, Auckland) supervisors. You will also join other eating disorder specialists who pride themselves in supporting their peers.
You will be actively supported in further development of skills and access to evidence-based training that adheres to the principles of treatment.
The successful applicant will hold relevant qualifications and experience as either a Registered Nurse, Social Worker or Occupational Therapist. Applicants must have Mental Health included in their Scope of Practice
This is a permanent position. We have flexible FTE and are open to applications from candidates looking for 0.6 – 1.0 FTE (24 – 40 hours per week).
