You’ll be part of a dedicated team providing comprehensive elective general orthopaedic services, as well as 24-hour Orthopaedic Trauma and Orthopaedic Emergency care. You will also have the opportunity to undertake regular outpatient clinics in Queenstown. There are 2 trainees and 4 non-trainee positions as well as a trauma senior house officer.
One year of accredited training at any level for RACS/NZOA trainees. The opportunity to work in a modern facility and provide healthcare to a large geographical area, ensuring your exposure to a wide range of work. The department has one hour registrar teaching and one hour general orthopaedic update session. We have comprehensive weekly audit and x-ray meetings and discussions, patient case reviews, journal club and practical workshops are part of our regular teaching schedule.
