The Security Operations lead is responsible for overseeing and managing the security operations service we provide our clients. This role involves market development and visibility, designing and delivering security operations services to clients, managing a team of security professionals, managing connections with technology partners and other PwC firms, and ensuring the protection of client assets and data . Client Services: Develop and deliver managed security operations services to clients, ensuring that service level agreements (SLAs) and contractual terms are appropriately developed then met or exceeded. Managed Security Services Strategy: Collaborate with clients to develop and implement customised security strategies and solutions that align with their specific security needs and objectives. Security integration: Oversee the integration of managed security operations technologies with a wide range of client technology stacks. Incident Detection and Response: Oversee the detection, analysis, and response to security incidents, breaches, and threats on behalf of clients. This includes a focus on leading our involvement in incident response and managing the use of forensics resources and tooling. Security Operations Center (SOC): Oversee the client SOC, including the supervision of SOC analysts, monitoring security events, ensuring the effectiveness of security tools and technologies, working with our technology partners and working with other firms for the smooth running of 24/7 operations. Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing escalation point of contact for client and security-related matters and leading quarterly service reviews. Security Technology: Oversee the implementation and management of security technologies and tools used in providing managed security services, such as SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) and EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response) systems Relevant certifications (e.g.Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Protection Professional (CPP)) may be preferred. Availability to supervise shifts and respond to security incidents outside of regular business hours including where required on weekends and public holidays. Proven experience in security management, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role. Strong knowledge of security principles, best practices, and industry standards. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Ability to remain calm and make critical decisions in high-stress situations. Knowledge of a range of security operations technologies including Palo Alto and Microsoft would be an advantage.
