Huakina Te Rā, ACC’s new enterprise strategy, sets a clear vision for Tōnui Ake Nei, a Thriving Aotearoa. ACC will achieve this by focusing on improving equity for our customers, ensuring the scheme is here for future generations, and working with communities to improve safety and resilience to injury. 
We have an exciting opportunity to join ACC’s Māori Health Partnerships team as a Senior Advisor Māori. Your expertise will strengthen Māori health equity decision-making and enhance outcomes for Māori under Huakina Te Rā. You will focus on providing support to our wider ACC teams to respectfully braid Te Ao Māori and western medical approaches to health equity, enabling cultural safety and supporting ACC to build strong relationships with Māori.
Working collaboratively with other roles that champion Māori cultural guidance across ACC, you will help build knowledge and understanding to enable delivery of our organisational commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi.

We are looking for someone with a personal commitment to improving outcomes for Māori and a passion for growing cultural capability in others. You will be a strong communicator who naturally builds meaningful relationships and can engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels. 
To be successful you will have:

A high level of competency in te reo me ōna tikanga Māori with a deep understanding of Māori culture, values, political and social systems. 
Demonstrated mātauranga Māori including a sound understanding of Kaupapa Māori approaches to health outcomes. 
Proven ability to advise on the application of te Tiriti o Waitangi and Crown obligations to Māori development and wellbeing. 
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement sound responses, that balance the interests of customers and stakeholders. 
Significant experience in partnering and maintaining influential relationships with business leaders and working collaboratively at a senior level.
The experience to work collaboratively and effectively manage internal stakeholders through trust, advocacy, and mana enhancing ways.

The appointing salary range for this role is between 120k – 145k and appointment within this range will be dependent on skills, experience, and internal relativities. We also offer a 9% superannuation contribution on top of the base salary. To view the position description, please click here
