Lead the creation of design system framework and components in collaboration with teams, bringing your exceptional Frontend engineering skills to the fore.
Ensure design system components developed meet the ANZ design, accessibility and technical standards.
Work collaboratively with partners and stakeholders to ensure adoption of design system.
Monitors design system performance and actively seek to optimise based on quantitative and qualitative data.
Documenting and evangelise best practices for mark-up semantics, accessibility, responsiveness, and general component usage.
Lead and maintain the continuous integration and delivery pipelines we use to deploy design system and tooling.
Champion, execute and deploy ANZ design system for delivery teams to use.
Provide guidance and support to teams through code reviews, and technical leadership in design system to ensure quality and accuracy.
Advocate for inclusive design principles especially accessibility across platform development.
Stay on top of the latest design systems thinking, engaging with the wider community and bringing valuable learnings back to the organisation.

You are an experienced Frontend Developer, passionate about design system and its application in creating delightful experiences that are human focused. You execute engineering best practices, framework and componentry for design system to enable the delivery of consistent and coherent product experiences. Through your experience, you can demonstrate that you have:
A thorough understanding of the many facets of frontend development and operations.
Significant experience undertaking and leading frontend engineering for digital product and design system.
Solid and demonstrable experience in executing the delivery of at least one other design system for a large organisation.
Strong expertise in scrum/agile development, frontend operations, digital accessibility, frontend framework, nodes, unit testing and CI/CD technologies.
The ability to develop strong collaborative relationships – managing, influencing, and communicating effectively with partners at all levels.
A company-wide ‘systems’ mindset to influence componentry, documentation and tooling at scale.
Strong experience guiding and supporting engineering teams working on a range of front-end frameworks on a range of back-end platforms.
Mastery over semantic, responsive, cross-browser, accessible HTML/CSS.
Proficient with Git and the Command Line.
Some understanding of native app development principles (iOS and Android).
Some understanding of brand and human centre design.
Highly proficient in project planning, communication, documentation and presentation, including an aptitude for convincing others of the value of their ideas.
A fascination with how customers experience products and services and have a hunger to improve those experiences.
