The Role
LIC is looking for strong Senior Software Engineers to help build out and modernize our applications used by the majority of farmers all over NZ. Your day to day might include providing technical leadership to other engineers, working closely with product owners and architects to contribute towards the product direction, implementing interesting new features and related tests, constantly improving, refactoring and modernizing the codebase, reviewing PR’s, pair programming, and deploying your own work to production. You will champion continuous improvement in code quality, TDD, simplification, application performance, CI/CD, DX, agile practices, infrastructure-as-code, architecture of the application.
A Full Stack Engineer would have strong skills in React, .NET, JavaScript/Typescript, Node.JS, SOA and Microservices, Containers, AWS and Azure, Queues/messaging, CI/CD
A Mobile Engineer would have strong iOS and Android skills – Xamarin experience a bonus. .NET, SOA and Microservices, AWS and Azure, and CI/CD.
