About The Role

This role sits across our ANZ Payments Platforms – Internationally and Domestically– with a path in to a partnership with our Australian counterparts. The PSSRE(Payments Systems Site Reliability Engineering) Squad will work cohesively asan autonomous unit, but also collaboratively with the already existingindependent build and run squads operating at ANZ. The primary focus andpurpose of the role will be to ensure that business critical systems aremaintained and developed to an agreed high standard – replicating the highquality of technologies and skillsets that will be available throughout thissquad. In addition, it is imperative to our customers that our strong standardsare maintained and no compromise is given with regards to data integrity andsecurity. To ensure ANZ stay ahead of the curve, it is essential that this role isalways moving forward and embracing a Continuous Integration ContinuousDevelopment pipeline and mind-set – always striving to operate at thepenultimate level whilst adopting new, exciting and potentially challengingmethodologies. In this roleyou will:

  • Have primary responsibility to operate in thePayments SRE Squad with an initial and primary focus of Integration withPayments applications in both an existing and proposed environment

  • Join a collaborative DevOps environment with afocus on continuous improvement and empowering others.

  • Be passionate about making change in the SREenvironment and have a approachable personality to engage with stakeholders atvarying levels

  • Operate cohesively with our Australian equivalentsto ensure that both NZ and AU systems are maintained effectively andefficiently

  • Role Location:  Wellington Role Type:  Permanent About You To grow and be successful in this role, you will bring the following:

  • Experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or have a full understanding of stack development and maintenance – essentially from a DevOps background
  • Have a strong understanding of the principles of which DevOps and SRE in particular revolve
  • You will have specialised skills in the following:
  • Proven experience in working with or integrating of large systems in an MQ Middleware capacity
  • Experience in on-boarding or configuring applications on to WebSphere Application Servers
  • Serve as a primary technical point of contact for Integration services in the ANZ Payments Domain
  • Excellent knowledge and exposure to programming languages such as C++, Java, Python
  • Adopts a vision and plan for application level solution design and architecture for the platform with a strong integration/middleware focus
  • Ability to easily and efficiently understand client application landscape and environment in alignment with proposed architectural decisions
  • Strong Troubleshooting Skills and ability to work autonomously or in a team environment
  • Experience with CI/CD
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – being able to communicate at all levels.
