The Relationship Manager is critical to making this happen and key responsibilities of the role will include the following:
Develop, maintain and grow a customer portfolio with sustainable long-term client relationships
Create simpler banking experiences and deliver strong outcomes for customers by taking the time to understand them and the individual needs of their businesses
Align with overall business strategies of sourcing new business, maximising existing business, and increasing effectiveness, along with keeping abreast of the market and economic trends
Collaborate with product partners and other important stakeholders to ensure effective and value added solutions are identified for customers, whilst minimising all potential risks to ANZ
Leverage your strong financial analysis, stakeholder management and communication skills, to provide customer solutions and proactive insights, directly contributing to ANZ’s purpose

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Proven experience in relationship management, business development, portfolio and/or account management
Previous experience in banking/financial/accounting, or relevant business experience would be beneficial, but not essential
Confident relationship building skills in networking, negotiating and influencing to enhance customer relationships, and growth in portfolios
An analytical and growth mind set, with experience in evaluating financial accounts, budgets and cash-flow
Expertise translating information into insights
Ability to be proactive, approach challenges with a ‘can-do’ attitude, and act decisively with information on hand
