What you will do
As the NZDF Spectrum Operations Manager you will be accountable for critically and technically assessing and prioritising NZDF radio frequency spectrum assignments to meet the requirements of Force Elements and users conducting operations, missions and exercises.
You will be accountable for coordinating and overseeing the immediate course of action to respond to spectrum interference, to mitigate disruption and impact to live environment operations, and maintain operational effectiveness and security.
One of your first challenges in this newly created role, however, will be to work with our stakeholders and the Policy team to assist with the development and implementation of radio frequency spectrum policy processes and procedures for NZDF – and to ensure that policy is developed in line with national spectrum regulatory requirements and that it makes operational sense to radio frequency end-users.
