At St Peter's, we strive for excellence and have a reputation for high academic achievement. We have an exciting opportunity for an outstanding teacher to join our vibrant and well-resourced agri-centre. St Peter's offers a wide range of agriculture and horticulture curriculums, including agriculture and horticulture Years 9-13, agribusiness Years 12-13 and practical primary industry courses. The agri-centre has fantastic resources including the Owl Farm - which is a working dairy research farm that the students can access consistently throughout the year. The farm was established to implement world class environmental, technological and animal welfare practices in farming. We also have several horticultural ventures on site including a productive vineyard, lavender rows, bee hives, vegetable plots and a forestry plantation. The St Peter's agri-centre supports community events and is a regular participant in the Fieldays innovation and NZ Young Farmers' competitions as well as supporting the Trees for Survival initiative. The successful candidate will have evidence of significant food and fibre industry exposure and/or practical expertise and would be passionate about teaching the above subjects to many year levels. At St Peter's we have an exceptional work environment in beautifully landscaped grounds. We offer excellent employment benefits including access to our gym and pool facilities, staff lunches, excellent employer contribution to KiwiSaver and a culture which values excellence. You will work in a collaborative team who are committed to making a difference in the lives of young people.
