The Enterprise Design & Integrity group is responsible for the services that provide advice, guidance and direction to ensure IR’s strategic intent is followed. These services include Corporate Legal, Governance and Ministerial Services, Integrity and Internal Assurance, Strategic Architecture, Strategic Portfolio Stewardship, Security Network and Privacy.

The teams provide enterprise-wide oversight and assurance for the organisation and Strategic Architecture is an enterprise function that ensures we are best placed to achieve our strategic intent over time through the design of services or solutions. We are accountable for:

• Test Strategy & Management

This is very much a Business and Customer focused group. We are curious about how we can use technology in new and interesting ways to deliver the best possible outcome for our Customers. With a focus on test management and strategy, the Strategic Architecture unit is now seeking two people in the roles of Domain Lead (L1) and Domain Specialist (L2) to lead, identify and implement the most appropriate testing approaches.

The Test practice will:

• provide strategic testing expertise and delivery services to each IR Primary Service
• provide testing guidance and support for change activities
• review and identify improvement for testing practices
• ensure testing is performed as per agreed testing practices
• oversee end to end testing, ensure delivery meets quality, time and cost objectives
• identify risks with individual testing approaches and manage controls
• provide guidance on testing tools and their effectiveness
• coordinate and integrate testing efforts across IR
• work closely with each Primary Service to support test coordination activities

Domain Lead – Test

As you lead your team, you will need expertise in:

• a large and complex organisation
• developing enterprise level test strategies that sets strategic direction of testing, including what level of testing is required and how it will be executed
• determining the internal capability required to support the test delivery plan
• engaging and developing strategic partnerships with testing partners, working closely with commercial teams
• defining levels of test automation required, weighing up efficiency with cost effectiveness
• developing an approach to support many big and small change initiatives underway at any one time
• ensuring compliance with organisational controls and standards in programme and test delivery
• enterprise level planning, reporting and management of all testing activities
• problem solving across multiple domains
• managing change-based risk
• leading people

Domain Specialist – Test

Supporting the Domain Lead, you will need to have professional and specialist expertise in:

• delivering to a strategic test approach for a large and complex organisation
• ensuring test coordination is well planned, adequately resourced and managed across all test activities
• working within a risk-based testing environment
• automated testing and technical verification
• working with partners to deliver the testing outcomes required
