The Northland Transportation Alliance (NTA) is a collaboration between the Whangarei, Kaipara and Far North District Councils, Northland Regional Council and Waka Kotahi (New Zealand Transport Agency) to deliver joined-up transportation services for Northland.

About the role
The Transport Team ensures the Northland region receives the best possible services in terms of, passenger transport, total mobility, and the development of Regional Transport plans.
The Transport Projects Officer - Strategy role is an integral part of the transport team by:
No two days are the same. You will work in a close-knit supportive team who work hard together and have fun while they do it. The holder of this role will be employed by Northland Regional Council and will be based in Whangarei.
About you
You will have a warm and friendly disposition whose experience in transport planning will demonstrate great time management and problem-solving skills, and well-developed communication skills, with a strong customer service focus.
We are seeking a proactive, confident self-starter who has proven ability to deliver high quality outcomes with a professional, courteous attitude. You are enthusiastic, with the ability to develop innovative solutions whilst maintaining continuity of service through setting clear goals and targets. Your innate ability to manage time will prove invaluable along with your experience working in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and Outlook). We need someone who is a team player, with a flexible, can-do attitude, who is willing to go the extra mile to make sure the job gets done well.
