Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
We invite you to join the Kari Centre, an exciting and dynamic Child and Adolescent Mental Health outpatient service that provides assessment and therapy to children, young people, and their families within the central Auckland area.
The Kari Centre has a strong reputation for excellence, innovation, and training, and is dedicated to offering opportunities for career development. We offer internal and external training packages, including formal post-graduate training, for new staff skill development as well as support for experienced clinicians who wish to build on their existing skills.
Tu Tangata Tonu is a service within the Kari Centre that provides support for children and their families, where one or both parents experience mental illness and is open to Adult Mental Health Services within Te Toka Tumai.
The role is to work alongside whānau to work out what things will help to support their children/s well-being, as well as those things that may impact negatively on their children/s’s wellbeing.
Although you are being recruited into the Tu Tangata Tonu team, there may be requirement to work across the Kari Centre as needed depending on workloads and service priority.

To be considered for this role, you will be an experienced registered Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, Mental Health Nurse, Psychotherapists or Psychologist with a current NZ Registration and practicing certificate.
Our ideal candidate will also have previous experience working with children and Youth within a mental health setting.
As this is a community role, a full and clean driver’s licence is required.
