The Opportunity
Our Venue & Events team are a hard-working, friendly, and supportive team who take genuine pride in attracting, supporting, and delivering memorable events on behalf of WDC, for the benefit of our community. The team are now seeking interest from candidates who really enjoy the buzz and excitement of setting up venues in preparation for a variety of events and conferences.
This role will be based at Forum North in Central Whāngarei which houses the Captaine Bougainville Theatre, the Kotahitanga Exhibition Hall, and Cafler Suite conference rooms. From time to time some travel will be required when hosting events at alternate venues throughout our district.
You will need to be physically fit and enjoy working in a flexible environment as some evening/weekend will be required due to the nature of the industry. This is a practical and hands-on role in a fast-paced environment, so thinking on your feet, being adaptable and taking initiative is a must!
