The Social Investment Agency (SIA)

The Social Investment Agency is a small government agency with a big mission – to do what works for better lives.  We demonstrate the value of using data, technology, and people’s lived experience to support decision making across the social system. We trial and champion innovative ways government, NGOs and community can work together. Alongside service users we explore, test and develop tools and insights to help all parts of the social system do more of what works for better lives.

We opened our doors in July 2017 and are now moving from start-up, to grown-up. We’re out to add smart people to our permanent talent pool who are curious, agile and hardworking, and who instinctively care about the wellbeing of others. If that’s you – read on.

The Communications team

Our communications team communicates with and supports the agency’s engagement with all sorts of people across the social system. We use a variety of digital channels and face to face activities to build people’s understanding of our work, and champion adoption of a social wellbeing approach.

What will you be doing?

You’ll work closely with our team – collaborating with stakeholders and staff across the agency – to take SIA’s story and work to market.  Amongst other things, you’ll be overseeing:

  • Content generation – researching and creating new content for multiple channels through interaction with staff, stakeholders and thought leaders across the social system
  • Written communication – drafting and editing material including press releases, web text,  business briefings and ministerial correspondence
  • Social media – content planning, execution and monitoring
  • Project coordination  – design and print production, web publishing, event planning and production

Who are we looking for?

The successful candidate will have

  • Communications and or marketing and engagement experience in digital and interpersonal environments, with compelling results
  • Excellent writing skills including the ability to write captivatingly for a variety of audiences
  • Proven organisational ability

If you work with agility, are resilient and can show how your communication and or marketing and engagement work has demonstrated innovation that’s achieved lasting impact – then get in touch. If you’ve an established media network we’d be especially keen to hear from you.
