The Role

We are seeking to appoint either a permanent, full-time (confirmation path) Lecturer/Senior Lecturer OR a permanent, full-time Professional Practice Fellow/Senior Professional Practice Fellow with expertise in higher education curriculum development, evaluation and quality improvement. The exact nature of the appointment will depend on the successful candidate’s skills and experience.
The key focus of this role is to improve the learning and teaching environment for students through a positive and active relationship with teaching staff. In this role you will organise and run staff professional development activities, give educational advice to inform curriculum development and support course evaluations to inform quality improvement.
If appointed as a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer, you will also develop your own programme of research.

The successful candidate will be expected to:
• Possess a relevant postgraduate and/or professional qualification.
• Ideally have experience in higher education academic curriculum development and evaluation.
• Effectively work within a team, with the ability to work with staff from differing academic and cultural backgrounds, at all levels.
• Experience in health professional education would be an advantage.
If appointed as a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer, in addition to the above, you will:
• Have a PhD degree or equivalent.
• Have relevant research experience and a corresponding publication record.
• Actively engage in research by applying for and receiving internal and external research funding.

This is full-time (1FTE), permanent position available as soon as possible from Mid-November 2023.
The appointment ranges for this role are:
Lecturer $90,902 to $107,300 per annum or Senior Lecturer $112,482 to $128,305 per annum.
Professional Practice Fellow $70,692 to $96,058 per annum or Senior Professional Practice Fellow $98,640 to $128,305 per annum.
