We are excited to offer the opportunity for an experienced musculoskeletal physiotherapist to join our Outpatient Hand Therapy, Physiotherapy and Podiatry team for Capital and Coast, working at Kapiti Health Centre. This permanent position, although primarily based in Kapiti, may support colleagues by working on other sites as and when necessary to ensure equitable access to physiotherapy services across the region.
The physiotherapist in this role will assess and treat people aged over 5 years old with a variety of musculoskeletal conditions following injury, acute & elective surgery and those with progressive and chronic health conditions. The role may include input into orthopaedic/fracture clinics and group classes.
This position is an opportunity for an individual interested in advancing their musculoskeletal physiotherapy career and delivering excellence as part of a team of highly skilled, highly motivated and supportive outpatient therapists. Experienced physiotherapists in this team are involved in clinical based audits, research and projects. We offer on-going professional development opportunities including a well-established in-service programme, targeted team training and formal supervision.
Mō tō mātou rōpū – About our team
The wider outpatient physiotherapy team includes physiotherapists working in haemophilia, hand therapy, pelvic health, and respiratory physiotherapy, alongside musculoskeletal. We have also recently included the DHB podiatry service into our team. This role will work alongside experienced musculoskeletal clinicians and have the opportunity to support student placements in Kapiti and within the larger outpatient team. We are a highly skilled, highly experienced and motivated team. We are forward thinking and proactive around the development of our services and roles and aim to make our work as enjoyable and effective for ourselves and our consumers, as possible.
Moū – About you
You will be an experienced Physiotherapist with a minimum of three years’ experience, including experience working in musculoskeletal clinics. You will have current registration and an APC. You will thrive working in a high paced environment where you are encouraged to work with autonomy.
