We are looking for an experienced and motivated Physiotherapist to join our inpatient Allied Health team at Kenepuru Hospital. This role works across the inpatient Health of the Older Person, Rehabilitation and Surgical wards, flexing to meet demand to ensure best patient outcomes.
The emphasis of this role is on timely and high quality Physiotherapy input, as part of a MDT approach to delivery of care. The ability to assess and contribute to decision making and complex discharge planning as part of a team, is crucial for this role. This position provides mentorship to rotational Physiotherapists, students and delegates work to Allied Health Assistants.

The Kenepuru Inpatient Allied Health team consists of over 35 Allied Health staff from six different professions.
As a team, we work closely together to provide a high standard for our patients and their whanau. We also have a strong focus on working in an integrated way with our medical and nursing colleagues.
We offer regular professional development opportunities a well-established fortnightly in-service programme for the wider physiotherapy team which enables you to maintain a wide breadth of knowledge and develop relationships across the profession. There are also a range of district-wide special interest groups that you can participate in. We offer monthly supervision and cultural professional supervision is available from Māori and Pacific Health teams.
Kenepuru Hospital is located in Porirua, with free parking and easy access to the motorway and Transmission Gully. There is also close access to the Kapiti train line at Kenepuru Station and regular bus connections.
Moū – About you
We are looking for an enthusiastic physiotherapist with at least two years’ experience who have a passion to make a difference in their communities with Te Whatu Ora. Working with a diverse group of patients with significant health needs, you’ll demonstrate excellent clinical and communication skills and have a flexible, problem solving approach. You will have a clear understanding of the health needs of our Māori and Pacific Island communities and be comfortable building rapport with patient and whānau from all backgrounds.
