About the Role
With the District Plan review underway, Hutt City Council are now seeking a Principal Policy Planner to join their highly competent, supportive and growing team!
Reporting to the Policy Planning Manager, you will be responsible for contributing to the development and review of the District Plan and other planning projects, and for advising the Council on the Resource Management Act and planning matters.

About You
You are a strategic thinker and innovative problem solver with proven experience in resource management and/or environmental management. You are able to collaborate across the Council and are skilled at engaging with communities and iwi partners and at building strong relationships.
You will enjoy working within a high-trust, collegial, collaborative and supportive team environment.
This is a permanent full-time position based in Lower Hutt. Flexible working arrangements, with the ability to work from home on some days will be considered for the right candidate.
