Mō te tūnga | About the role

The Procurement Adviser – Operational Sourcing is responsible for the creation of purchase orders from special requests for the Department. They locate and identify appropriate sources of supply for these special requests. They also have responsibility for maintaining product catalogues and help drive value for money through sourcing efficiency. They monitor, analyse and report on sourcing trends within the business.

In this role you will work in a team that is close knit, recognises each other’s strengths and achieves great results together. They manage procurement for a range of products and services required to ensure the smooth running of our large and diverse organisation.

The team is busy managing a large number of suppliers so, to be successful in this environment, you’ll need to be a motivated self-starter. Key to your success will include previous experience in a procurement team and a talent for building great relationships with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders.

  • The ability to gather data and summarise relevant/important aspects
  • A well organised approach with the ability to prioritise work effectively without frequent direct supervision.

The salary range for this role is $52,027 to $73,450. Appointment will be based on skills and experience relevant to the role.
