About the Company:Our client is a leading financial service organisation going through an exciting transformational change. You will be an important part of driving driving within the team and wider business.

About the Role:

You will be covering the sub categories within the organisations’ Corporate Indirect category and responsble for supporting the development and execution of innovative end to end category solutions which provide sustainable value. This is to be achieved by utilising in depth industry knowledge and external partnerships whilst collaborating with internal business partners to deliver on specific customer outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively manage assigned categories of spend in alignment with agreed business objectives, category strategy / plan and in partnership with key stakeholders, including; key contract/sourcing activities are delivered, appropriate level of supplier governance and relationship management is deployed and operational and broader business requirements including process improvements are supported.
  • Strengthen and broaden internal and external partnerships including supplier and industry associations
  • Ensure strategic category plans for all major spend categories are developed in conjunction with and endorsed by key business stakeholders
  • Proactively manage the category pipeline to ensure accurate contract execution and appropriate contract coverage for assigned spend categories

Key Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in corporate indirect procurement categories (e.g. Fleet, Travel, HR, Marketing etc).
  • Strong stakeholder management influencing and management of senior management, consultants and third party providers.
  • Experience within the financial services industry or regulated environment preferred.
  • Experience working within a Procurement Category Management model preferred.
  • Demonstrable experience in understanding and application of category management methodology and disciplines.
