Live Life Disability Support provide supportto over 250 people, who have disabilities, to achieve their personalaspirations and choices in a variety of residential and respite settings acrossthe Nelson/Tasman and Marlborough regions. We are acommunity-based disability support service focused on quality-of-life outcomesand the Enabling Good Lives Principles.
We support each person to manage their dayto day lives in ways and at times that work for them. This could be anythingfrom personal care, behaviour support to living the life in the community. The people we support have a wide range ofabilities and we focus on enabling good lives by being inclusive and activelyencouraging family and whānau input.

We are looking to appoint a Team Leader to joinour existing team in our new refurbished respite home in Nelson. You will workclosely with whānau, local community, and professional agencies to provideshort, medium, or emergency respite for children with unique and special needs.Harness your attentive support style to organize and sometimes participate in activitiesor school holiday programs that inspire and create great memories. You will always be role modelling bestpractice, whilst ensuring the team can bring fun, engaging, and fit-for-purposecare in home, for our all too often marginalised tamariki.
Our mahi is dynamic, demanding and rewarding. From personal cares toempathetic practice, by utilising your mana-enhancing skills that ensure safetyas a holistic concept. You will be involved with ongoing service development,such as rostering and reporting. You will be an integral part of theteam, providing support and leadership, that keeps us involved in the community.
Your role is on-roster, working withflexibility over 7 days including evening and weekends. Our goal is to center the needs of the childand their whānau, requiring lots of communication, planning and flexibility. Therefore,you are guaranteed every second weekend off, and on the roster, you will needto factor in 1 or 2 days a week where you are focusing on coordination andplanning only.
We are non-judgmental,reflective, and trauma informed always, and we embed the Enabling Good Livesprinciples into the important mahi that we do.
The salary for this position is $58,760 plus anannual allowance of $7,000.

You will have inspiring leadership skills and a strong commitment to theprinciples of person-centred support. You will also hold a minimum NZ Certificate in Health and Wellbeing ( 4), or an equivalent health or disabilityrelated qualification as assessed by the Ministry of Health (see link below) and will have a soundknowledge of Person-Centred support as well as good time management skills.Experience working in the field of disability, youth social services would beadvantageous.
The salary for this position is plus an annual allowance of $7,000. This role is classified byImmigration as ANZSCO 423111 and applicants for this position must be eligibleto work in New Zealand.
