OCS Northern Region is seeking a resilient, empathetic and procedurally-driven professional to step into the next stage of their career as a (Regional) HR Advisor. Based in Auckland, the HR Advisor will support the HR Manager in providing first line general human resources support for the 1400 waged and salaried colleagues in Northern Region (Northland to Bay of Plenty). This role will involve travel from time to time as required by the business. This is a highly diverse generalist HR role working in the thick of operations. Your key responsibilities may include: End-to-end recruitment in partnership with managers Providing timely and accurate HR advice Providing procedural support in HR functions such as employment relations, transfers of undertaking Generating tailored HR documentation Coordination of visa-related queries Work alongside L&D and H&S departments in providing comprehensive HR support to the region Subject Matter Expert in company HR technology such as JobAdder and Grow@ (ATS) Participate in HR projects as directed by the company and in line with business strategy Any other generalist HR support and administration as required The qualities that will help you succeed in this role: Integrity, fairness, confidentiality, open-mindedness, and empathy Excellent analysis, research, and problem-solving skills (attention to detail is a must) Unflappable can-do attitude in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment Communication style that adapts to audience and situation Ability to build trust and rapport with colleagues, a true team player Not afraid to have tough conversations where needed Technological aptitude – at least intermediate level with Microsoft Office; ability to quickly pick up new applications Organizational skills and self-management Energy or drive for continuous improvement and better people outcomes Requirements: At least 2 years of experience in administration, operations, or HR. A relevant tertiary qualification may substitute for 1 year of relevant experience.
