This is a critical leadership role which combines knowledge leadership in SHEQ legislation, responsibility for client interface and development, coaching and management of a national team of SHEQ Business Partners and stakeholder management of senior internal leaders. It’s an opportunity to demonstrate your expertise in these areas by lifting the SHEQ performance of our Telecommunications business in New Zealand. You will also be joining a large, global organization with sophisticated SHEQ systems and processes where SHEQ goals are front and centre. You:You are an experienced Safety, Health, Environment and Quality leader with a track record of success in SHEQ roles across a variety of different industries. You have a strong but diplomatic personality and enjoy building working relationships that create a platform for coaching and mentoring. You are an expert in New Zealand SHEQ legislation and a credible company representative in client interactions. You are energetic and thrive on the challenge of juggling multiple tasks. You are an inspiring leader, capable of driving team performance and supporting a group of SHEQ advisors spread across multiple locations and industry sectors. The Role:In this role you will provide strategic leadership, advice and support for operational compliance to SHEQ policy and processes. You will also coach and mentor your team of Business Partners and senior operations managers in the development and application of their SHEQ knowledge. Your activities will also include oversight and approval of incident investigation, provision of SHEQ expertise at client meetings and updating of SHEQ plans in response to legislation/policy changes. There may be some domestic travel required in this role, and there are potentially opportunities to travel to Australia as required.
