Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
The primary purpose of the role is to drive performance and innovation by bringing together and leading national and regional functions to achieve; improved planning and delivery timeframes, greater time and cost predictability, clarity and transparency in how IIG will work together to deliver improvements, and future proofing our assets through new ways of thinking.
Note: Preference will be given to Te Whatu Ora and Te Aka Whai Ora employees.
Mōu | About you
In this role you will act as an incubator for innovative thinking across the IIG; identifying and introducing internal and external thought leaders to define problems and explore opportunities for improvement in capital investment planning and delivery.
You will develop target metrics linked to strategic goals and objectives of IIG, and SMART KPIs and monitor and track progress.
You will provide transparency to the regions on their performance in a constructive way to encourage a culture of innovation and continuous improvement and formulate action plans that link functional areas and their key focus areas across IIG and how these contribute to defined performance outcomes.
You will lead the development of market analysis, and analyse data to baseline project performance across the portfolio eg.cost, time and quality.
Establish a cost and time data base to assist the regions to better plan cost and time for projects at an early stage (reducing optimism bias).
In addition you will lead the capture and dissemination of data in lessons learned across the regions to support innovation and continuous improvement, as well as provide insights through analysis of infrastructure spend by category/supplier/region and future pipeline provided by investment planning team to inform commercial and procurement strategies.

Success in this role will see you bring a good mix of specialist skills and experience not limited to:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Supply Chain, Procurement Min 10 years' experience at executive level, in the infrastructure and construction sector Establishing and leading the development of an innovation culture through discovery, evaluation, lessons learned and best practice Organisation change and sector transformation experience, that drives performance Establishing and leading the development of an innovation culture through discovery, evaluation, lessons learned and best practice Ability to interpret lessons learned to drive continuous improvement Proven experience working effectively with cross-functional teams to translate business/system and sector issues into opportunities Ka kawea e koe | You will bring:
